FOR ALL REGISTERED WEB SITE USERS AND MEMBERS OF THE RFIDba ITS VERTICAL INDUSTRY CONSORTIA, ITS REGIONAL AFFILIATES, AND COUNTRY CHAPTERS.

The International RFID Business Association, (RFIDba) is a not-for-profit, educationally focused, vendor neutral, technology and frequency agnostic, global trade association focused on educating the end user community.

The RFIDba is the premier source for credible, reliable, un-biased information on all RFID & RTLS  technologies and different frequencies. The RFIDba also has working groups for other complimentary technologies such as Bar Coding, NFC, Smart Cards, Rubee, SAW, Sensors, GPS, Nano, BAP, Flexible printed Electronics and all Wireless technologies.

The RFIDba is focused in providing its members with a source of a HIGH QUALITY, industry specific, multi-media, educational programs via on-line / e-learning, classroom programs, on-site industry specific training programs and Master Classes at selected conferences and trade shows.

The RFIDba also provides its members and its affiliated groups and consortia with numerous value-added business services.

The management of the RFIDba recognizes that protecting the privacy and confidential information of all those who do business with us is very important!

For the purpose of this PRIVACY STATEMENT, the RFIDba and its extended family is comprised of the following entities, as outlined bellow. This family of groups will have access to all personal and membership information for the purpose of communicating with you our member to provide you with better programs and services.

At no time will your personal information be handled by third parties or un-authorized outside organizations.

  4. RFIDba Vertical industry Consortia
  5. RFIDba Technology Consortia
  6. RFIDba Regional and Country affiliates

All Confidential Information that is marked and identified as such and provided by our registered guests, members, strategic partners and those applying to become members of the RFIDba or its affiliated organizations will be kept confidential at all times, subject to the following agreed upon terms.

Definitions

For the purpose of this document:

“Confidential Information” is defined as personal or company information acquired by, or freely/willingly provided to RFIDba in the course of doing business with the RFIDba or by using this web site or provided to the RFIDba or its  affiliated organizations, its management team, its many advisory boards, its consortia, its committees, its strategic partners, its regional affiliates and or via its country chapters either in written, oral, electronic, or any other form and may include, but may not be limited to:

e-mail addresses, names, titles, phone numbers, company project plans, diagrams, marketing plans, trade secrets, budgets, company and industry specific information and your company’s name and mailing address.

The RFIDba warrants that this information will be kept in confidence within the RFIDba affiliated groups as outlined above and not sold, shared, with any outside organization.

“Members” and “Registered Users” are defined as an individual and/or persons or companies who wish to use the RFIDba web site to access a variety of information on RFID and RTLS and related technologies and/or to join one of our vertical industry consortia or regional affiliates and /or country chapters.

You, as a registered user and/or member will not sell, lease, rent, share, or divulge by any form or mean any Confidential Information that was obtained by you via the use of this web site (s) or provided /obtained to/by you by the RFIDba, its consortia, working committees in the course of transacting business with any one of the RFIDba affiliated organizations.

Furthermore, as a registered user and/or member of the RFIDba utilizing its  web site(s) you agree not to distribute or exchange any Confidential Information acquired, or provided to you by the RFIDba and/or its Consortia to any third party without the written permission of RFIDba.

“Vertical Industry Consortia” the RFIDba has a number of industry specific groups who maintain there own web sites within the RFIDba web portal. The same Privacy rules, terms, and conditions apply on these web sites.

“Technology Specific Consortia” the RFIDba has a number of technology specific groups and working committees who maintain there own web sites within the RFIDba web portal. The same Privacy rules, terms, and conditions apply on these web sites.

“Regional Affiliates” the RFIDba has a number of regional groups throughout the world who maintain their own web sites within the RFIDba web portal. The same Privacy rules, terms, and conditions apply on these web sites.

“Country Chapters” the RFIDba has numerous country specific groups who maintain there own web sites within the RFIDba web portal. The same Privacy the rules, terms, and conditions apply on these web sites.

Personal and Confidential Information

The RFIDBA,ITS CONSORTIA, its regional affiliates and country chapters  will not sell, lease, or rent our members’ and registered users’ personal and confidential information  to any party or parties, or individuals at any time.

In order for the RFIDba to successfully execute its vision and mission statement and in order to provide the best educational programs, services and timely information for mutual benefit, it will be necessary at times for the RFIDba to exchange Confidential Information with our own in-house consortia, regional affiliates and country chapters

The RFIDba warrants not to distribute or provide this Confidential Information to any other third party or individual/s unless they have agreed to these same Privacy Terms of Service. This Confidential Information will only be made available on a “need to know basis” to the RFIDba’s, own Consortia, Regional Affiliates, and Country Chapters who may be engaged in a given project initiated through the RFIDba where knowledge of such Confidential Information is necessary for the successful completion of such a project, or it is appropriate for fraud protection, credit risk reduction, to comply with requirements of law, regulation, or litigation, or protect the lawful rights, property, or safety of our members, management team, advisory board, and/or board of advisors. or for reasons of national security, or other issues of public importance.

Cookies and Third Party Cookies

When you visit any of the RFIDba web site(s) you can browse the site(s) without revealing your identity. In order to streamline the functionality of the RFIDba web sites we may use “cookies” to track your visit, or provide a more “customized” visit for you next time you visit the site.

A cookie is a small amount of data that is stored on your computer’s hard drive by a web server and can only be read by the server that originated the transfer. It serves to identify you next time you visit any of the RFIDba web sites and may help to customize your subsequent visits with information and preferences that you have previously submitted through online forms. The RFIDba uses a third-party tracking service called Google Analytics. This service uses cookies to track non-personal identifiable information about visitors to the RFIDba web site(s) in a totally aggregate form. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and click stream data. The RFIDba may decide to use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our registered users and members as a whole.

The RFIDba reserves the right to provide demographic (not individual) data provided by registered users and members and site usage statistics to RFIDba member Consortia, regional affiliates, and country chapters and possibly other trusted third parties. Such information would be an aggregate of collected data and information (not individual) and will not intentionally contain details to identify any one member on an individual basis.

Links and Banner ads to Strategic Partners’ web Sites

The RFIDba web site(s) may include links and banner ads that connect to other sites. If you choose to visit these sites, we assume no responsibility for their privacy policies, or how they treat any user information that they may collect – through “cookies”, or any other means. We are not responsible for the products or services provided, or actions and policies of these third parties. It is your responsibility to review the privacy policies of these third parties when supplying personally identifiable information to them.

Registered users and members  may opt out of future mailings at any time by either clicking the UNSUBSCRIBE link that appears at the bottom of this page, or by submitting the removal request directly to: unsubscribe@rfidba.org

By un-subscribing you will not receive future information on new services, surveys, or research from the RFIDba.

Changes of Terms

The RFIDba, its vertical industry consortia, its regional affiliates and country chapters reserve the right to alter our Privacy Terms of Service as business needs require. Any alterations will be posted to our web site(s) as they become available.
